Just because we have a long track record with some clients doesn’t mean we get complacent. In fact, a recent :30 television commercial we created in late 2020 just broke two records for our client the Kentucky Lottery.
The spot, entitled “Remote Controlled Sleigh,” helped the Lottery achieve record sales of scratch-off tickets during the holiday timeframe. Additionally, using an ad measurement scale similar to the one USA Today uses to rate the “likeability” of Super Bowl ads, the BCH spot achieved the highest likeability score ever recorded in the history of the Kentucky Lottery – breaking the previous likeability record of a previous BCH-produced spot. Likeability is normally a strong indicator of consumer acceptance and success.
The spot features an inventive factory supervisor who has created his own remote controlled, souped-up Santa’s Sleigh, which he uses to deliver personalized gifts of Kentucky Lottery scratch-off games to his unsuspecting employees from the socially-distanced safety of his office.
“It’s cool to have such a COVID-friendly spot that’s so natural, organic and unforced that it would be just as strong at any time; before, during and after COVID,”
BCH Creative Director – Brian Garr
“I’m very proud that so many viewers have come to like this spot so much,” Creative Director Brian Garr said. The spot was one of several tactics BCH implemented for the Kentucky Lottery in recent months that helped generate a 31.3% overall sales increase from July through December 2020, compared to the same months the previous year.
