BCH is pleased to announce the promotion of Abby Varner to Director of Digital Engagement. In this newly created position, Abby will oversee the agency’s teams in digital and programmatic media planning and placement, social media, search marketing, customer relationship marketing and digital analytics.

Abby continues, “People have become more connected than ever before. And from spending so much more time online, consumers are reconsidering what is — and what isn’t — important to them from a digital perspective, and how they want brands incorporated into that. They’re hungry for digital conversations, but those that also have a sense of personalization. That’s what we’re helping clients navigate.”
In her new leadership role, Abby will help shape the direction of the newly combined agency service and oversee strategy and execution of the team members working in these areas. In addition, she will closely collaborate with the Creative, Development, Brand Management and Public Relations teams.
“As our industry continues to evolve, we are restructuring how some agency services fit together – and work together – so that we can enhance collaboration and integration, and bring our clients the most effective solutions to their marketing and communications challenges,” said Matt Kamer, BCH partner. “From the time she started with us as a brand manager three years ago, Abby has demonstrated a keen understanding of the digital space, and we are looking forward to how she’ll bring her skills to bear to help our clients.”
Abby’s prior experience includes serving as senior communications associate with McBee Strategic Consulting in Washington D.C., as well as account manager with KCD Worldwide in New York. She earned a Master of Strategic Public Relations degree from George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Carolina. Abby is Edge Academy Certified in Data-Driven Media Planning, and is a past-president of the Public Relations Society of America’s Bluegrass Chapter.
