Social Media Intern

Position Overview:
We are seeking a paid Social Media Intern to support our social media team and assist our Social Media Specialist across day-to-day content planning, publishing, engagement, reporting, and research.
The ideal candidate is digitally savvy, detail-oriented, collaborative, and interested in learning how brands show up across social platforms with purpose, consistency, and creativity. As a Social Media Intern, you will gain hands-on experience working on real client projects while learning how social content moves from strategy and concepting to scheduling, publishing, community engagement, analytics, and client reporting. You will work closely with the Social Media Specialist, Social Media/Influencer Producer, creative team members, and agency leadership.
Responsibilities:
Content Planning & Publishing
- Assist with preparing social media content plans, calendars, and post schedules.
- Schedule, publish, and verify approved content through BCH’s social media management platform.
- Support light copywriting, caption drafting, proofreading, tagging, links, and platform-specific details.
Concepting & Creative Support
- Participate in content concepting roundtables and internal planning discussions.
- Assist in Photo and/or Video shoots.
- Help gather trends, references, examples, and social inspiration to support content ideas.
Community Engagement
- Support standard community engagement, including reposting or tagging user-generated content.
- Draft or publish approved comment replies based on client scripts, FAQs, and brand guidance.
- Monitor comments and interactions, elevating higher-need questions or issues to the Social Media Specialist.
Analytics, Research & Reporting
- Pull social performance data, platform analytics, and social listening insights.
- Assist with drafting social reports, content recaps, and performance summaries for internal or client presentations.
Influencer & Campaign Support
- Assist the Social Media/Influencer Producer with influencer research, creator vetting, and campaign analytics.
- Help organize campaign information, performance data, and supporting materials as needed.
Qualifications:
- Current student, recent graduate, or early-career candidate pursuing experience in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Public Relations, Social Media, Journalism, or a related field.
- Strong interest in social media, digital content, brand storytelling, and online communities.
- Comfortable using major social platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and emerging platforms.
- Strong writing, proofreading, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple small tasks.
- Willingness to learn social scheduling, reporting, analytics, and listening tools.
- Comfortable collaborating with strategists, creatives, producers, and account/project team members.
- Proactive, curious, reliable, and able to ask good questions when direction is unclear.
- Basic familiarity with social media metrics, content trends, influencers, or platform behavior is a plus.
- Genuinely good human that people enjoy working with.
